The Château de Barrière, namesake of the castle in Périgueux and located in the heart of Villamblard, is a medieval fortress built around its original 13th-century square keep and expanded until the 16th century.

Battered by the centuries, the castle, recently renovated by passionate volunteers, birthplace of Count Wlgrin de Taillefer, presents two important collections of objects from nearby forges and the Périgord region.

Every year, it hosts a number of events that have transformed the castle from a ruin into the cultural hub of the village.
