This rest stop gives you a breathtaking view of the Château de Mauriac and the Isle passing by its banks.
The architecture of the castle makes it an "idyllic" place, an Epinal image of the castles of our childhood, as they were drawn.
Mauriac invites to contemplation, to take the time, to poetry. L'Isle sets the pace for this walk where time no longer passes so quickly. The bracing adds to the ambient music as well as that of the wind in the trees. The lock gives you access to an island where 2 picnic tables allow you a gourmet break in the shade of the trees. 3 tables are also next to the wooden building, an old tobacco barn.
